About Tain and Portmahomack Cycle Trail
A pleasant 30-mile route exploring some of the quieter roads and coastal villages of Easter Ross.
Although perhaps not as well known as other parts of the Highlands this area is an excellent one for cycling with a good network of quiet roads and the historic town of Tain, which is easily accessible by both road and rail, is a perfect start point.

The peninsula is part of the Sustrans national Cycle Network Route 1 (NCR1) with lots of loops off this route allowing you to spend time exploring the area and what it has to offer,
