About Tain Hill and Pulpit Rock Walk
A short and easy walk to the top of Tain Hill which has good views over the Cromarty and Dornoch Firths.
Clear way-marked paths with well-graded up and downhill sections.
Pulpit Rock is a boulder, left behind by the last glaciers, it has steps and what appears to be a lectern carved into it. No one knows what this was used for, but it appears to be a meeting place, with a raised platform for a leader or preacher to stand.
Start at Tain Hill Forest car park at the end of Jubilee Drive from Tain.
